First visit

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. Clubs lend skates, sticks and protective kit for your first sessions. Under 18s need a parent or carer to stay for the first visit.

03About the club

Grimsby Roller Hockey Club was established in 1973, making it over fifty years old and one of the longer established clubs still active in English roller hockey today. The club emerged during a period when roller hockey was still relatively strong in northern England and it has been a long standing member of the English roller hockey scene ever since.

Roller hockey is a relatively niche sport in England but Grimsby has been one of the country's stronger clubs over the years. The club has competed in the top flight Roller Hockey Premier League and has won major domestic honours in previous seasons, including league and cup success recorded by England Roller Hockey.

Grimsby Roller Hockey Club is one of the few opportunities in Lincolnshire to play competitive rink hockey. The club focuses on junior development, on introducing beginners to the sport and on maintaining a pathway into national competition. It keeps roller hockey alive in a region where the sport has a long history within a relatively small community.
