One knockout and nobody goes home early

01Format

The NCRHA Cup runs in the under 13, under 15 and senior age groups. Every entry goes into an open draw with no seeding. Clubs beaten in the first round move into the Plate, a parallel knockout with its own trophy. No team travels for a single game.

Ties are played to a finish. A drawn tie goes straight to a five minute golden goal period and then to penalties. Cup ties are scheduled into the same tournament weekends as league fixtures wherever possible.

02Rounds

The draw for each round is made at the preceding committee meeting and published on the news page. A season has three rounds before the final in most age groups, depending on entry numbers.
