The under 13 league went to the final game of the final weekend at Middlesbrough Sports Village, where the leaders needed a point and got all three in front of a loud home crowd.
Eight teams played across the two days in the biggest under 13 field the association has run. The hosts took the weekend's best result with a win over the eventual champions on Saturday evening, a game that will be talked about at Friday training for some time.
The committee thanks Middlesbrough RHC for hosting three weekends this season and every parent who drove a carload of skaters across the north since September. Medals and the trophy were presented at the close of play by the chair.
